“We did the 8:30pm tour and saw little bioluminescence, which was fine and expected based on prior reviews. However, the tour guides gave us a tarp to try and see some of the glowing flagellate and after paddling a bit with our hands in the water we saw some glowing bits! Our tour guides (Willy? I think was his name?) provided us with tons of entertainment and laughs and also were knowledgeable about the history of the area! I will say we were a bit naive to not think about bringing a towel and wear a bathing suit/bring a change of clothes for after. However, it was a bit frustrating…”

“Kayaking to the lagoon at dusk was really fun and the mangrove was beautiful. We were able to see the bioluminescence under a tarp which was so cool. The kayak ride back through the mangrove was awful- it was completely dark and difficult to follow the kayak in front of us. I don’t understand why they didn’t use headlamps to lead us. The instructors were nice, but one was snarky and rude.”
